How to Help During the COVID-19 Face Mask Shortage

Know someone with sewing skills? A group of altruistic and creative individuals have come together to coordinate Stitched Together, a Facebook sewing community that matches sewers with people and groups who need face masks sewn. During the COVID-19 crisis, many first responders, healthcare providers and vulnerable individuals are without critically needed face masks and protective gear.

Additionally, JoAnn's Fabrics has put together a wealth of resources (including tutorials, videos, patterns, etc.) at: https://www.joann.com/make-to-give-response/.

NOTE: Handmade masks are not nearly as effective as the manufactured masks at protecting against viruses, but during times of crisis the CDC allows handmade masks to be used in their place. All masks being made are CDC-Compliant in order to maintain protection for users.
