Build Indigenous Solidarity & Attend a Rethinking Thanksgiving Webinar on November 22, 2021

As we come to terms with Thanksgiving as a holiday manufactured on propaganda, it's time to figure out how to move beyond the myth's of American history and deepen solidarity with Indigenous Americans and their resistance efforts.

On Monday, November 22nd (5pm PT/8pm ET), you can delve into deconstructing along with the Indigenous Solidarity Network, The Catalyst Project, Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), and Resource Generation for their Rethinking Thanksgiving: Solidarity with Indigenous Resistance online event.

"The webinar is an invitation to interrogate so-called Thanksgiving, and move beyond the myths of America's history with Indigenous People on Turtle Island.

From tar sands pipelines across Turtle Island to Arctic oil and gas drilling, Indigenous campaigns of resistance continue to lead the way in protecting future generations against the destruction of sacred lands and waterways.

Moving into a deeper understanding of how colonialism is embedded into our frameworks and systems builds our capacity to be in stronger solidarity. In this webinar, we will hear from the frontlines of Indigenous efforts to resist violence and colonization fueled by the current extractive economic system and gather ways to further and deepen solidarity with Indigenous resistance. Live Captioning and ASL interpreters will be available on the call."

Take advantage of this free interactive learning opportunity before the Thanksgiving holiday. Register today for the event at: https://act.surj.org/a/rethinking-thanksgiving-solidarity-indigenous-resistance
